If someone on your team has installed the Meeteor add-on in a HipChat room, you'll see the integration on your side panel. In order to access the right content in Meeteor, you need to be in the same Meeteor organization account as your colleagues. Follow the steps below to join your team.
3 Steps to Join Your Team on Meeteor
- Click on the Meeteor header to expand it, and you'll see the option to request an account. Click "Request account" and follow the steps to send a request to the Meeteor account administrator.
(Note: You can be part of multiple organizations on Meeteor, so make sure you have access to the organization that your colleagues are in. If you log in but still can't access the Meeteor content, click the "request account" button so the organization admin can add you to the organization on Meeteor.)
- After hitting the "Request account" button, you'll be promoted to verify or provide your first name, last name and email address so your Organization Admin can add you to the organization on Meeteor, granting you access to your team's meeting content on the Meeteor site. Confirm by clicking the "Request account" button at the bottom and an email will be sent to the organization admin.
- You'll get an email notification once you've been added to the organization on Meeteor. Click on the link in the email to complete your sign up and set a password for your Meeteor account. After you're done, come back to the side panel on HipChat and log in.
Note: The first time you log in to your Meeteor account on HipChat, you'll be asked to authorize HipChat to talk to Meeteor. You only need to do this once and you'll be all set.
